| What types and sizes of home construction and renovation does Sterling Homes perform? |
Sterling Homes can build a large custom home or renovate your kitchen, bath or basement. Our goal is to provide you with a home that serves as a comfortable and functional retreat, whether you live in the Valley or visit a few times a year. We have been involved in comprehensive interior renovations of homes throughout the valley, roof to floorboards, as well as exterior renovations of decks, patios, balconies, entertainment areas and driveways. We have also built homes from the ground up, both custom and semi-custom homes, in several of the Valley’s exclusive neighborhoods.

| Does Sterling Homes do design work? |
Sterling Homes does design and drafting for many remodels that do not require extensive structural reengineering and/or do not require Design Review Board approval. This reduces the cost of the project and also project start-up time. We also do initial design work for many custom homes, with review and revision by a licensed architect. Like many mid-sized businesses today who utilize consultants, Sterling Homes retains the services of architects for projects that require a greater level of expertise, and when needed to work with DRBs. We have positive relationships with local architects who work on projects when needed.

| How much is it going to cost for you to build (or remodel) my home? |
After meeting with you to determine the scope of your project, we will have one or several successive meetings to determine the details and eventually budget. As the budget is derived, we will negotiate the scope of the project that can fit your budget. We generally require a 20-25% deposit so that materials can be special-ordered (e.g., cabinetry, countertops, appliances).
|
| Do you provide on-site supervision? |
A Sterling Homes field Superintendent oversees on-site production for each project. Generally the Superintendent is on-site daily when subcontractors or other workers are there. The Superintendent will provide excellent communication with the subcontractors and others if you have a problem, as well as see that risks to your property and safety are minimized. |
| How do I select the products that would “finish” my remodel or home (e.g., tile, paint, sinks, carpet, lighting)? |
| Sterling Homes has long-standing relationships with numerous local vendors that we suggest you use for most finishing products. In some cases, we will suggest that you go directly to the vendor. In other cases, we will choose a product and get your review. You may also find a product that you prefer over those provided by these vendors. Any of these methods allows you to apply your own style without compromising your budget. |
